Ebru, yoğunlaştırılmış su üzerine doğal boyalarla desenler çizilip bu desenlerin kağıda aktarılmasıyla yapılan geleneksel bir Türk süsleme sanatıdır.

Her ebru tek ve benzersizdir.

Orta Asya’dan İran’a, oradan Osmanlı’ya geçmiş; 16. yüzyıldan itibaren kitap sanatlarında kullanılmıştır.

Sabır, dinginlik ve içsel dengeyle yapılan ebru; sanatçının ruh hâlini yansıtır.


GLASS ART
Çeşm-i Bülbül (Bülbül Gözü)
It is a unique glass decoration technique created by rotating white and colored glass wires, which started to be produced in Beykoz in the Ottoman Empire in the 18th century.

It is generally used in decorative items such as vases, bottles and glasses.

It was highly valued in the Ottoman palace environment. Beykoz glass workshops became the center of this art.


CARPET AND RUG WEAVING

It is the art of weaving developed by the Turkish people throughout history for both daily life and artistic expression. Carpets are knotted and pile; kilims are made with a flat weaving technique.

FELT MAKING
Art that does not get wet in the rain and does not stand the test of time
Felting is a traditional Turkish handicraft made by shaping felt obtained from sheep wool by beating it with hot water and soap.
Its origins date back to Central Asia.
🧶 How to Do It?
Sheared wool is cleaned and picked
Soak with hot soapy water
It is beaten with a mallet and turned into felt.
It is shaped and patterned with a mold.
